Gov. Scott Requests $100 Million for VISIT FLORIDA

Dear Jefferson,

Today was an exciting day in the Florida Capitol. Governor Scott again stood up for Florida’s tourism industry and upped his recommendation from $76 million to $100 million in funding for VISIT FLORIDA to make us more competitive. The Governor clearly understands the value of our industry and the 1.4 million jobs supported by tourism.

While we continue to work with the Legislature, we are laser focused on becoming more competitive while increasing accountability and transparency in everything we do. If VISIT FLORIDA’s funding is increased to $100 million, we will be better equipped to break more records and create more jobs for families in Florida.

We will keep you posted with the latest information regarding next steps in the legislative budget process as soon as we know more.

Below please find a video release sent from the Governor’s Office regarding today’s announcement.
